The fire ladder is located on the outside of a house, especially on the front and/or back wall of a balcony (4), and comprises a number of fixed, essentially horizontal and/or vertical bars (16, 17) that from a continuous path over essentially the entire height of the house. At least one ladder section (5) is located to the front or side of the balcony, at the same height.
