PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the miniaturization, to reduce the weight and to improve the operability of a vacuum cleaner provided with a dust detection means detecting a dust amount by reducing the constitution of a detection means provided in a hose connection part. SOLUTION: A motor-driven blower 2 generating suction force, a control means 7 controlling the motor-driven blower 2, and a first power supply means 8 supplying a power supply voltage to the control means 7 are arranged in a cleaner body 16. A dust detection means 9 is arranged at a hose connection part 18 and a second power supply means 11 supplying the power supply voltage to the dust detection means 9 is provided in the cleaner body 16.
