The container used to house a compact disc (4) has a main two part construction with a base (2) and an integrally formed cover (34) produced in a fibre filled material eg cellulose. The base section is produced with a central raised area (20) that provides support for the disc. The space beneath the disc support may be filled with a flexible packing , eg foam.
