摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel particulate filter to decrease generation of nitrogen oxides NOx by coating the surface of a ceramic fiber material with a carrier layer having a function of reducing nitrogen oxides NOx . SOLUTION: This diesel particulate filter 1 is prepared by coating the surface of a wire material of silicon carbide ceramic fiber material 5 with a carrier layer 6 consisting of a BaPrO3 perovskite compound 7. The filter body 4, 20 is composed of a nonwoven fabric produced by irregularly stacking the ceramic fiber material 5 coated with the carrier layer 6. An intermediate layer 8 is formed between the carrier layer 6 and the perovskite compound 7.
