PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image, printed by an aqueous ink jet ink and having durability. SOLUTION: The manufacture of the durable ink jet image employing a fusible and wettable toner containing both of a coloring agent as well as a hydrophilic polymer and an ink jet transparent fluid is constituted of (a) printing the transparent fluid on a substrate through ink jet printing and (b) exposing the substrate made by (a) to a toner including the coloring agent and the hydrophilic polymer. Further, an image on the substrate, which contains the dependent area groups of electrostatic toner, containing the ink jet transparent fluid, the coloring agent and the hydrophilic polymer, and the other dependent area groups, not having the transparent fluid and the electrostatic toner substantially, is fixed onto the substrate. |
