<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new application of compost made from organic wastes including garbage as the raw material, and to provide artificial culture soil including the above compost, hampering neither germination nor growth of sown seeds, thus suitable for greening face of slope and the like. SOLUTION: This artificial culture soil for greening face of slope is obtained by including compost, an erosion inhibitor, a fertilizer and plant seeds; wherein the compost is such that, on a dry basis, the carbon content is <=30 mass%, nitrogen content is <=3 mass%, carbon rate (C/N) is <=20, water-soluble phenol level is <=3 mM and reducing sugar proportion is <=20%; the compost is obtained by mixing at least one kind selected from garbage, sewage sludge and livestock excreta with cellulosic waste material and/or woody waste material followed by fermenting the resultant mixture.</p> |
