PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission operating device capable of suppressing operation noise generated when a shift lock mechanism is operated. SOLUTION: In this automatic transmission operating device having a shift lock mechanism, the lock mechanism has a solenoid 15 equipped with an operation part extendable/contractible based on a signal transmitted from the vehicle side, a shift lock stopper 18 for locking/unlocking a shift lever 3 by a slide operation, and an operation member 16. The operation member 16 has a second arm part 16b linked to the solenoid 15 and a third arm part 16c whose end is linked to the lock stopper 18, while it has a cutout 16ba extending in a direction substantially normal to the sliding direction (operating direction) at a link part between the arm part 16b and the lock stopper 18.
