PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus a in which a fixture is easily maintenanced as compared with that of a conventional apparatus, and provide a method for coating. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus comprises a driving mechanism 4 for transporting an object 1 set in a fixture 2 while rotating the object 1 and a distributing mechanism 6 for a projection film 5 for the fixture 2 and at the time of spraying a coating material to the object, the fixture projection film body 5 is distributed so as to cover the fixture and prevent the coating material from staining the fixture.
