PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating tool of components to be joined one to the other. SOLUTION: An induction brazing tool (10) is provided with a pair of induction coil components (12, 14) each having a linear extension (18) and a semi-circular coil (16) at one end. The distal end of each component remote from the semi-circular coil is provided with a flange (22) for connecting the tool with an induction brazer. The component is made of electrical conductive hollow copper tubing. The opposite end of each component is provided with a flange (30) for bolting the components to one another. At the ends of the coil part, nipples (32) are arranged and a flexible hose (34) interconnects the nipples. A braid (38) of electrical conductive material also connects the nipples. The components are opened to form a clamshell configuration, disposed around parts to be brazed and mutually bolted. The brazed joint is obtained by flowing electrical current and cooling water along the tool. |
