<p>PURPOSE: To provide the encoding/decoding device which doesn't require the external circuit which changes the timing of a vertical synchronizing signal neither the change of a parameter value set to an internal register. CONSTITUTION: The operation required for encoding and decoding of digitized picture data is started based on the vertical synchronizing signal which indicates the division of one picture of digitized picture data. This encoding/decoding device 10 is provided with a timing control part 103 which generates a signal START, which has the same period as the vertical synchronizing signal and is delayed by a prescribed extent and initializes the encoding and decoding operation, and sets the extents of delay for encoding and decoding based on information from the outside (CPU).</p> |
