PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purge cover device capable of easily, rapidly and safely purging the molten metal in a metal injection molding machine without damaging any equipment. SOLUTION: A purge plate 16 shaped for shielding the forward part of a nozzle 3 is installed inside a purge cover 11 which is installed at a position in contact with a fixed plate 12 to cover the opened top side, front side and back side around the nozzle 3 in a U-shape. During the injection molding, the purge plate 16 is allowed to slide to an evacuation position not interfering with the nozzle 3, a heating cylinder 1, etc.
