PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to rapidly collect and distribute postal matter, to update a database accompanying moving in particular and to lessen the burden of distribution work. SOLUTION: This system has a mail classifying machine 100 which is connected to a network 107 and includes the character identification dictionary for address recognition formed from the database 104 for the original register of distribution and a portable terminal 105 which displays the maps of destinations. Information on moving and information on distribution are inputted and outputted by the portable terminal 105 for executing communication with this mail classifying machine 100. The updating of the character identification dictionary and the screen display of the distribution routes are thus executed. Since the rapid change of the character identification dictionary is possible, the address recognition is exactly executable. The displaying of the routes and work instructions for the distribution on the portable terminal is possible and, therefore, the burden of post clerks is lessened. |
