PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block the failure of stripes arising on a toner image owing to a foreign matter, by providing a filter provided with pores having specific diameter for allowing the toner to pass through, in the toner transporting path of the toner returning device. SOLUTION: When the foreign matter is mixed in the toner T transported by the toner transporting belt 92 of the toner returning device 31, the foreign matter is stopped by the filter 56, while the toner T is allowed to pass through the pores 55 of the filter 56 and fed to a developer chamber 90. At this time, respective diameter of pores 55, is set that the toner particle is allowed to pass through, while set smaller than the gap G between the surface of a developing sleeve being the developer transporting member, and a tip of a doctor blade being the developer control member. As a result, when the developer in which the toner returned to the developing device is mixed, is allowed to pass the gap G between the surface of the developing sleeve and the tip of the doctor blade, the clogging of the gap by the foreign matter or the like is avoided, thus the failure of stripes arising on the toner image formed by the photoreceptor can be prevented. |
