PURPOSE: A method and a device for generating a stereoscopic image are provided to compact structure and to save the cost by excluding a driver and an adapter. CONSTITUTION: An input image frame is supplied to a display unit(30). The display unit is controlled to display the input image frame in one point between a predetermined first starting point and a second starting point during a first field time. During a second field time, the display unit is controlled to display the input image frame in another point between the first starting point and the second starting point. Since time difference is generated between the image frames displayed in the first and second field times, a stereoscopic image is generated.
