PURPOSE: A method of diagnosing air gap of a wheel is provided to improve reliability of a device and a system by not diagnosing as trouble when starting with spin without inferiority of air gap, and by quickly performing warning actions of inferiority of air gap. CONSTITUTION: A method of diagnosing air gap of a wheel includes steps of receiving a speed-detecting signal from wheel speed sensors and deciding whether the number of stopped wheels is over two or not(S21,S22); deciding whether the speed of rotating wheels reaches a first set speed, if the wheels not rotating are over two(S23); deciding whether the acceleration of the rotating wheels increases and decreases within the effective range of the predetermined desired value(S24); repeatedly performing from the first step to the third step and deciding whether the repetition frequency is a predetermined frequency or not(S25,S26); deciding whether the rotational speed of the rotating wheels reaches a second set speed(S27); deciding whether the rotational speed of the rotating wheels is maintained for predetermined time(S28); and diagnosing air gap state of wheel speed sensors of the stopped wheels as inferiority(S30).
