PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound source controller which can be improved in operability by enabling any sound source to be controlled from the outside. SOLUTION: A sound source 200(x) sends playing information (MIDI data) based upon user's operation to the sound source controller 100. The sound source controller 100 recognizes (learns) parameter information (system exclusive message) regarding sounding control unique to the sound source 200(x) included in the playing information from the sound source 200(x), generates playing information according to the recognition result and the user's operation on an operation means 110, and sends the playing information to the sound source 200(x). The sound source 200(x) generates sound according to the playing information from the sound source controller 100.
