PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, of manufacturing a bonded magnet, where the magnet whose mechanical strength is large and which is superior in magnetic characteristics can be provided, and to provide the bonded magnet. SOLUTION: The bonded magnet comprises a shape, which constitutes the whole or a part of a cylinder or a column. A distribution, in which areas per magnetic power of respective magnet powders in a cross section nearly parallel to the central axis of the cylinder or the column are added up, is defined as A, a distribution in which areas per magnetic powder of the magnet powders in a cross section nearly perpendicular to the central axis of the cylinder or the column are added up is designated as B, the median values of the distribution A and that of the distribution B are designated respectively as Ave (A) [μm<2> ] and Ave (B) [μm<2> ], the standard deviation of the distribution A and that of the distribution B are defined respectively as Σa [μm<2> ] and Σb [μm<2> ], and then the bonded magnet satisfies the expression (I) 0.10<=|Ave(A)-Ave(B) |/|Σa-Σb|<=5.0. |
