LEAD FRAME FOR OPTICAL MODULES AND OPTICAL MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the crosstalk from a transmission signal input lead terminal 14a (for feeding external electric signals to a light emitting element) to a reception signal output lead terminal 14b (for outputting electric signals from a photodetector to outside). SOLUTION: Among a plurality of lead terminals 14 on a side wall 15a forming a frame 13 of a lead frame 6, one terminal is taken as a transmission signal input lead terminal 14a and another adjacent thereto is taken as a grounding lead terminal 14c. Similarly a receiving signal output lead terminal 24b is set on a side wall 15b and grounding lead terminal 14d is set adjacent thereto. The grounding lead terminals 14c, 14d have inside top ends expanded widely to the adjacent input and output lead terminals 14a, 14b. This enhances the electric field confining effect of the grounding lead terminals and suppresses adverse effect of the input lead terminal 14a on the output lead terminals 14b.
