PURPOSE: A drum type washing machine is provided to drive washing drums mounted symmetrically in spaces not communicated with each other to carry out washing separately by using a single driving source. CONSTITUTION: A drum type washing machine includes first and second water storing tubs(52,52') filled with washing water, first and second washing tubs(56,56') rotatably mounted in the first and second water storing tubs for carrying out clothing washing, a water supply unit for supplying water into the first and second water storing tubs, a driving source(60) for rotating the first and second washing tubs, and a draining unit for draining the water used in the first and second water storing tubs. |
