PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound source controller which enables an excellent desired musical performance to be performed at any time even when setup changes are made. SOLUTION: A 1st storage means 150 stores pieces of control information for control over a sound source 200(x). An operation means 110 has assigned effects to be given the sound of the sound source 200(x) according to the control information in the 1st storage means 150. A 2nd storage means 150 stores information regarding the state of an object effect when setup changes based upon properties of assignable effects. A generating means 130 generates playing information to be sent to the sound source 200(x) according to the information stored in the 1st and 2nd storage means when setup changes of the control over the sound source 200(x) are made.
