PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an electromagnet-mechanical converter which makes magnetic flux pass from winding teeth to a yoke as perfect as possible with less loss. SOLUTION: The converter (10) has a number of winding teeth (30) composed of a material suitable to guide magnetic flux of a magnet circuit. Each winding tooth comprises a winding support element (33) to accommodate winding and a fixing region (36) which fixes the winding tooth to the yoke (21) of the electromagnet-mechanical converter. In this converter, since the winding tooth has a transition element (35) tapered from the winding support element to the fixing region and directly adjoining the yoke of the electromagnet-mechanical converter, and the fixing region (36) has a higher magnetic resistance than the winding support element (33) and the transition element (35) due to change of the grain structure of the material, the magnetic flux entering the transition region from the winding support element is sufficiently passed to the yoke (21), and the fixing region (36) is practically independent of the magnetic flux.
