PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk cartridge in which the existence/absence of the use history of disk media can be confirmed from external appearance and which can prevent an opening from being opened mistakenly. SOLUTION: In the disk cartridge 10 internally housing the disk media, an unreattachable engagement projection 160 is provided in a first guide groove 12A where the guide projecting part of a drive device slide in accordance with loading (use of internally housed disk media) to the disk device, and the loading can not be performed to the drive device in the state that the engagement projection 160 is not removed. Because of this, the existence/absence of the use history of the disk media can be confirmed from the external appearance by looking or the like at the existence/absence of the engagement projection 160. The engagement projection 160 also prevents the operation of a shutter engaging part 122 as an operating part of a shutter member arranged in the first guide grove 12A.
