PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing system in which the addition of members for high quality magnetic recording/reproducing operations is allowed while keeping the miniaturization as a whole. SOLUTION: In a fixed drum 16 in recording/reproducing operations, amplification and signal processing are performed in the state that waveform distortion is reduced with a driving amplifier 37A to improve frequency characteristics in accordance with a reference signal from an oscillator 36A, and a stable actuator driving signal with a specified signal level is produced and outputted from the driving amplifier 37A. Then, this driving signal is transmitted to a rotary drum 17 through a rotary transformer 40A to make the disposal of the driving amplifier at the side of the rotary drum 17 needless and to increase the degree of freedom for utilizing the space in the rotary drum 17, thereby the high quality magnetic recording/reproducing operation is attained by disposing in the rotary drum 17 a plurality of piezoelectric actuators 14a, 15a, 14b, 15b, and also MR heads 12a, 12b and magnetic heads 13a, 13b respectively driven to oscillation by these piezoelectric actuators.
