PURPOSE: To obtain a stator and a stator core of electric rotating machine and a manufacturing method therefor wherein the occurrence of irregularity at the top faces of teeth is prevented. CONSTITUTION: The stator core 21 is formed in a cylindrical shape by butting four arcuate laminated core segments 22 against one another so that a cylinder is formed, and welding together the outer circumferential surfaces and the inner circumferential surfaces of the butted areas 31. Each of the laminated core segments 22 is formed by bending into an arc shape a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped laminated formed by laminating magnetic thin plates. Second outer circumference-side magnetic thin plate jointing welds 26 are so positioned that the outer circumferential surfaces of the laminates is divided into three, and first inner circumference-side and outer circumference-side magnetic thin plate jointing welds 27 and 25 are positioned on the inner circumferential surfaces and the outer circumferential surfaces of the laminates in proximity to the ends of the laminates.
