PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring method and a monitoring system by network camera, which visually displays audio information on the display of a center monitor, using a plurality of network cameras, a sensor means, and a sound detection means, and also outputs the pertinent abnormal sound preferentially at the occurrence of an abnormality. SOLUTION: This monitoring system is composed of a communication circuit 3, sound detection means 2A or sensor means 2, network camera 1 which has a camera means 11, image data compression means 12, image processing means 14, audio data input means 20 or state detection means 16, abnormality detection means 15, data superposition means 13, parameter setting means 17, data storage means 18, and communication control means 21, and center monitor 4 which has a communication control means 41, received data separation means 42, received data storage means 43, monitoring means 4, sound control means 50, sound display control means 51, image display control means 45, and multi-channel storage means 47. |
