<p>Short juxtaposed strands of bright yarn, pref. of cellulose acetate, are pressed between two resistant yarns, pref. cotton, which are twisted while passing through a heated tube, in which the brush-like strand ends are rolled into a smooth, regular cylinder. The cotton yarns have no adhesive and are hard false-twisted, to 500 turns/m. to give a residual twist of 450/m which is enough to entrap the acetate strands between the yarns.</p> |
