PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieving device for works of art which can present much more information on a work of art to match relevant persons than before. SOLUTION: This retrieving device for works of art includes a database which stores pieces of information on works of art including attribute information, an accepting means which accepts preference information including attribute information matching the category of a work of art that at least a relevant person desires and sensual information including sensuous elements hard to directly describe for the category of the work of art that the relevant person desires, and a retrieving means which obtains the attribute information on the work of art by analyzing the accepted preference information and sensual information, detects information on works of art including attribute information completely matching the obtained attribute information and information on works of art including attribute information partially matching the obtained attribute information in the database, and extracts information on works of art having higher matching rates of the attribute information than a specific threshold among the detected pieces of information on the works of art as information on works of art matching the relevant person.
