PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide skew adjusting mechanism of optical pickup by which skew is easily performed even after the optical pickup is incorporated in two guide lots and a disk device having the skew adjusting mechanism. SOLUTION: In the disk device 1 having the pickup provided to be freely moved back and forth in the radius direction of a disk along two of a first guide rod 371 and a second guide rod 372 arranged in parallel and to reproduce information recorded in the disk or to record the information in the disk and to reproduce the recorded information, it is provided with the skew adjusting mechanism 42 formed by providing a guide rod pressurizing spring 421 to displace the second guide rod 372 after incorporating the first guide rod 371 and the optical pickup 351 in a holding member 340, a guide rod holding member 430 and a screw 436 to be screwed with the guide rod holding member 430 and to adjust the skew of the optical pickup 351 by displacing the second guide rod 372 upward and downward by adjusting tightening of a screw 436.
