PURPOSE: To adjust height by an inexpensive means in order to apply a unit pump hanging a unit case for housing together a fuel pump and a filter element on the upper wall of a tank with a unit case supporting flange to the tank having various heights. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate member 25 is fixed by hot plate bonding or the like to between a unit case body 6 for housing together the fuel pump 3 and the filter element 4, and the unit case supporting flange 5 for hanging a pump unit 1 on the upper wall 10 of the tank. Height Ha of the intermediate member 25 is set in height for supplementing the difference between height of the sum of height Hb of a unit case body 6 and height Hc of the unit case supporting flange 5, and height Ht of the tank. A bottom wall 26 is installed in the lower end vicinity of the intermediate member 25, and a fuel passage formed on the lower surface of the bottom wall 26 is made small to prevent the generation of air accumulation in the part of the intermediate member 25.
