PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery device capable of suppressing to a minimum a malfunction and inconvenience such as a power interruption when a load is in a prescribed operation. SOLUTION: When a personal computer is in an active state for example, a signal from a signal terminal 8 is always brought into a low level and, even if terminal voltages of some of electric cells 2 fall below 2.5 V, an on-state of a switch element 4 is maintained, that is, discharge to the personal computer is continued, and then power is not forcibly interrupted as far as the summed terminal voltage of all of the electric cells 2 does not fall below 11.2 V. Therefore, the malfunction is prevented to the utmost from occurring at a hard disc and the like due to a forcible interruption of the power.
