PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk recording/reproduction device capable of preventing damage due to collision to a mechanical mechanism part by instantly braking an optical head part and decelerating the optical head part when impact is received from the outside during recording/reproducing operation. SOLUTION: In this dick recording/reproduction device in which an optical head mechanism part is driven along a guide shaft by a voice coil type linear motor, a main guide shaft 9 that feeds and drives the optical head mechanism part 6 is inserted into a brake mechanism 35 formed by a bimorph structure where an electrode 39 is sandwiched between inner and outer double cylindrical piezoelectric ceramics 37 and 38, the brake mechanism 35 is energized when the disk device receives shock during recording/reproducing operation or seek operation by the optical head mechanism part 6, the shape deformation of the piezoelectric ceramics 38 and 38 brings the brake mechanism 35 into frictional contact with the main guide shaft 9 to generate braking force in the optical head mechanism 6, and the optical head mechanism part 6 is prevented from being damaged by collision by decelerating the optical head mechanism 6.
