PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a crystal device that the reliability is low because a crystal oscillator cannot be secured rigidly to a basic body due to difference in the coefficient of linear thermal expansion. SOLUTION: The crystal device 6 comprises a basic body 1 having a mounting part on the upper surface and a wiring layer 2 led out from the mounting part to the outer surface, a crystal oscillator 5 secured to the mounting part of the basic body 1 and having an electrode connected electrically with the wiring layer 2, and a cover 3 fixed to the upper surface of the basic body 1 through a metal frame 8 and containing the crystal oscillator 5 hermetically wherein the basic body 1 has a coefficient of linear thermal expansion in the range of 14×10<-6> / deg.C-20×10<-6> / deg.C (40-400 deg.C) and the metal frame 8 has a modulus of rigidity not higher than 50 GPa.
