LADLE NOZZLE HOLE OPENER WHICH IS ABLE TO PREVENT BACKFIRE

PURPOSE: A ladle nozzle hole opener which is able to prevent backfire is provided to serve safety of workers and improve working productivity of a continuous caster by opening a ladle nozzle clogged by solidified molten steel, thereby preventing backfire caused by the inflow of molten materials when forcibly opening the nozzle. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for opening a lower nozzle of a ladle clogged by solidified molten steel using oxygen, the ladle nozzle hole opener which is able to prevent backfire comprises a holder(2) on which a control valve(6) is mounted to control the supply amount of oxygen supplied from an oxygen supply hose(9) that is connected to the rear of the holder(2); a hollow external tube(4) which is installed in front of the holder(2) to cover the outer part of a hollow internal tube(3) connected to the oxygen supply hose(9); a fixing bolt(4a) by which the rear of the oxygen pipe(5) inserted between the internal and external tubes(3,4) is fixed; a disk type protection plate(2a) having a larger outer diameter than the external tube(4) is mounted between the holder(2) and the internal and external tubes(3,4); and an oxygen pipe(5) at the middle length of which a coil part(5a) coiled in a coil shape is formed so that the internal inflow of molten materials through the front of the oxygen pipe(5) oppositely directed to the lower nozzle of the ladle is difficult.
