PURPOSE: A security system using a digital camera is provided to produce a security system using a storage medium with a small volume that stores a large amount of objects and occupies a small space. CONSTITUTION: A security system includes a digital camera(10) for photographing an object, a main storage(20), a temporary storage(30), and a controller(40). The main storage permanently stores the object that was captured by the digital camera and converted into digital signals. The temporary storage temporarily stores the object that was captured by the digital camera and converted into digital signals. The controller controls the operation of the digital camera, judges if there is extra space in the main storage when the object was converted into the digital signals, and stores the digital signals in the main storage when there is extra space in the main storage. The controller stores the digital signals in the temporary storage when there is no extra space in the main storage and moves the digital signals when the main storage is replaced with a new one to the new main storage.
