<p>The input/output connector for a printed circuit board includes a basic insulating support element (1) with metalisation providing contact areas in a common plane with fixing elements (2,4). There is also an insulating cover element, fitting over the first support element. The input/output connector (10) comprises a first electrically insulating part (1) including at least one fixing element (2,4), and at least one contact strip (3). A second part acts as a housing, partly covering the first part. The planar connecting surface of the contact rib is located in the same plane as the lower surface (9) of the fixing element (2,4), such that this plane defines the plane for fixing the connector. The connector may also include a power contact. The connector is made by metalising the plastic material to form the contact strip on the first insulating part (1). This metalisation may extend from the first connection surface (5) for a printed circuit, to a second portion (11) directed towards the outer surface of the connector, facilitating a connection for a complementary connector.</p> |
