PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binocular stereoscopic image display device which enables each viewer to watch the stereoscopic image of an object stably even if cameras that take images of the object are increased in number. SOLUTION: Corresponding to the number (m) of viewers inputted into an input unit 15, variable scanning conversion units 21 to 2n increase the scanning rate of image signals S1 to Sn obtained through cameras C1 to Cn by 2m times. An effective image selection unit 8 selects only an image which (m) of viewers want to watch out of the image signals SC1 to SCn which are sent from the variable scanning conversion units 21 to 2n and. By this setup, an unnecessary image which any viewer does not want to watch is prevented from being displayed on a monitor 6, and the display period of an image presented to each viewer is restrained from being lengthened even if cameras are increased in number. |
