PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic equipment which enables to reproduce a high-quality voice with a bass region emphasized and to increase acoustic effects without reducing the portability. SOLUTION: The portable electronic equipment comprises a liquid crystal monitor 3 supported by a main body 2 of the equipment. The liquid crystal monitor comprises a housing 10 having a front face 12 and a side face 14, and a liquid crystal display module 11 which is stored in the housing and has a display screen 11a exposed on the front face. The housing comprises at least one speaker storing chamber 21 for storing a speaker 25 at a place departing from the liquid crystal display module. A sound emitting section 28 for outputting a voice is formed on the front face of the housing corresponding to the speaker storing chamber, and an opening 31 for outputting the bass is formed in the side face of the housing corresponding to the speaker storing chamber.
