PURPOSE: A short circuit for preventing overload is provided to increase efficiency of the short circuit by simplifying a structure of the short circuit and forming the compatible short circuit used in DC as well as AC. CONSTITUTION: A power supply portion(10) is used for supplying necessary electric power. An additional circuit portion(20) is used for receiving the electric power from the power supply portion(10) and detecting an abnormal signal. A short circuit portion(30) is used for receiving an output signal from the additional circuit portion(20) and preventing a damage due to overload when the overload is generated. The short circuit portion(30) includes a stabilization portion for maintaining constant-voltage and a switching portion for transmitting current according to a voltage applied from the stabilization portion. A load circuit portion(40) is used for controlling an operation according to an electric signal outputted from the short circuit portion(30).
