PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image which is hollowed out to have an optional shape on the preview screen of a printer driver and to print it. SOLUTION: The printer driver 110 receives plotting data and displays the preview screen. The shape registered in a shape defining file 140 is selected on the preview screen and a position, a size and an angle, etc., are adjusted. The printer driver 100 generates printing data of the shape cut image by referring to shape information which is set on the preview screen. A user generates an optional shape and registers it in the shape defining file 140. |
