PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color proof generating system for recognizing a processing state (status) even when a special color is comprised in image data. SOLUTION: In the system, an image editing file with edited images is received, at least one kind of the image data consisting of a plurality of colors in the image editing file is developed, divided in edition and made to be a group of each color edition data, the each color edition data is transferred from an information processor to an output device in surface order and a color proof is outputted from the output device. The system comprises a display means for displaying the data receiving situation of at least one group of each color edition data in the information processor and displaying the data transfer situation of each color edition data to the output device in the information processor and also comprises a display control means for controlling the display of the display means based on the data receiving situation and the data transfer situation.
