PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which has a small number of data processing processes and is suitable for recording and reproducing of data whose reproduction continuity is expected. SOLUTION: A plurality of CD sectors SEC (CD sector #1 to CD sector #L) constituting audio CD data read from an optical disk drive 27 are continuously recorded on a plurality of HD sectors HDS (HD sector #1 to HD sector #L) on the recording surface of a hard disk drive 26 without a break. When a user designates a tune, the code quantity ABD 1 of reproducing unnecessary data that occurs in the HD sector #5 and the code quantity ABD 2 of playing unnecessary data that occurs the HD sector #M in the HD sectors HDS (HD sector #5 to HD sector #M) where audio data corresponding to the music are recorded are calculated, the audio data of the designated music are extracted from the audio CD data recorded on the HD sectors HDS (HD sector #5 to HD sector #M) and reproduced.
