PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone system capable of inputting numerical characters with an input mode other than a numerical character input mode as it is and improving convenience by facilitating input operation of a character string in which characters other than a numerical character are mixed with numerical characters. SOLUTION: This portable telephone system converts unconverted data inputted by depressing a key into a numerical character corresponding to the key depressed for the data if specific operation is performed in the case of an input mode other than the numerical character input mode.
