PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring a magnetic field of a cyclotron are provided to measure the magnetic filed regardless of a size of an electromagnet in a cyclotron. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic field measurement controller(40) is formed with an input portion(44), a coordinate conversion portion(42), a magnetic field detection portion(46), and a storage portion(48). The coordinate conversion portion(42) has a table conversion table(43) in order to covert coordinates (r,&thgr;) to corresponding coordinates(X,Y). The magnetic field measurement controller(40) receives the coordinates (r,&thgr;) from the input portion(44) and provides the converted coordinates(X,Y) to an X-Y plotter(30). An X-Y plotter driver(38) moves a position of a hall sensor(36) according to the coordinates(X,Y) provided from the magnetic field measurement controller(40) in order to measure intensity of the magnetic field at the position of the hall sensor(36). The measured intensity of the magnetic field is provided to the magnetic field detection portion(46). The magnetic field detection portion(46) receives the coordinates (r,&thgr;) from the coordinate conversion portion(42) and stores the measured coordinates data in the storage portion(48).
