PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device for an electrochemical device, with simple construction, requiring little load on a circuit and having no constraint on the mounting position and permitting accurate operation, even under overvoltage condition. SOLUTION: The protecting element for the electrochemical device as a protective element for protecting an electrochemical element comprises a varistor VZ and a heat-sensitive protecting element TF bonded thermally to each other, the heat-sensitive protective element TF operating due to the temperature rise of the varistor VZ. |
