PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive capable of preventing the occurrence of an address error in reading servo data without being affected by the change of a reproduction element characteristic and a magnetization characteristic of recorded data and performing stable head positioning control. SOLUTION: A cutoff frequency of a CTF 21, boost quantity and a filter tap coefficient of a FIR filter 27 are preliminarily measured in each head or in each zone and stored as a table in a memory 10. When a head 1 reproduces the servo data, processing is performed by switching to an appropriate filter characteristic in accordance with a head to be used or a zone to be read.
