<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which holds information specifying an individual even when a personal identification code, such as a resident's card code, which is unique nationwide is changed. SOLUTION: In addition to the resident's card code, a specific personal code is prepared as a code given to an individual. The specific personal code is uniquely given to a national, not changed throughout the life, and not reused even after the person dies. Personal information is stored in a personal information database while using the specific personal code as a key. The resident's card code and specific personal code are related through a personal code database. At a retrieval request for personal information using the resident's card code, a personal information sensor converts the resident's card code into the specific personal code and retrieval from the personal information database is performed by using the specific personal code to obtain necessary personal information.</p> |
