PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology that can send data with a large size to a recipient using an electronic mail without specifically preparing a program by the data recipient. SOLUTION: A data transmitter MFP 1 consists of a mail transmitter 31 that transmits an electronic mail, a data transfer device 32 that stores data in a specified storage (for instance, a hard disk 231), a recognition unit 33 that recognizes a transmission error caused by the electronic mail, and a controller 34 that controls the mail transmitter. The controller 34 controls a first electronic mail ML1 being attached with the data (for instance, image data) so that the first electronic mail is sent to a designated recipient and also controls to send a tool program that is sent to the designated recipient using a second electronic mail ML if the transmission error of the first electronic mail ML1 is recognized by the recognition unit 33. The data stored in the specified storage can be obtained by executing the transmitted tool program. |
