PURPOSE: A method of servicing a representative group number using an intelligent network is provided to give a representative group number to input an extension number of a group through another announcement for an external telephone, thereby enabling a call connection and distinguishing personal purpose from business purpose by using a personal number, a representative number, and an extension number. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter attempts a call by inputting a predetermined telephone number(S100). A service control device decides whether the telephone number is a group number representing many personal numbers(S120). If so, the service control device delivers a predetermined announcement to the transmitter through an ARS, and stands by(S140-S260). If a specific one-digit number is inputted by the transmitter, the service control device delivers another announcement, and if more than two-digit personal numbers are inputted, the service control device confirms a base station position of a corresponding terminal(S280). If the base station position is confirmed, the service control device opens a call between the corresponding terminal and the transmitter to make the call(S300-S320).
