<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system where a device side can confirm a management state of an article whose location is managed such as a position of the article and a relative distance. SOLUTION: The wireless communication system comprises a host communication device 101 that manages communication of a wireless network and a terminal unit 201 attached to an article and makes wireless communication with the host communication device, where the terminal is provided with a wireless communication means 202 making wireless communication with the host communication device and a distance measurement signal generating means 203 that generates a distance measurement signal on request of the host communication device, and the host communication device is provided with a wireless communication means 120 that makes wireless communication with the terminal unit, a distance measurement signal analysis means 103 that analyzes the distance measurement signal received from the terminal unit, a distance calculation means 104 that calculates the distance from the analysis result, and storage means 105 that stores the distance and the host communication device manages the distance information with the terminal unit.</p> |
