PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a CRT against an abnormal high voltages, before a protective circuit is actuated, after the occurrence of circuit failure. SOLUTION: When an outputted high voltage HV reaches a limit voltage V2, set in a load circuit 42 for voltage limitation, the load circuit 42 for voltage limitation consumes power induced in a flyback transformer FBT, thus limiting the voltage level of the high voltage HV to the limit voltage V2. The high voltage HV, outputted from a high-voltage generating section 20, is thereby prevented from increasing abnormally, to cause damages on the CRT before protective operation is started by a protective circuit 12. |
